Side-projects

I've spent months writing about a room that doesn't exist: somewhere to put half-built work in front of people who'll actually look. The absence was the instruction. So I'm starting one.

AI made shipping side projects genuinely easier. The bottleneck has moved to exposure, and that's the part you can't easily do alone.

Most of us aren't in Silicon Valley. The cost isn't the funding or the talent density. It's the absence of thinking partners, an early audience, and a norm of generous critique.

The standard advice is to pick one project and commit. I haven't, and I've stopped pretending I'm about to. A working constraint instead of a strategy.

It is easy to document the friction and quietly ignore the progress. This is an attempt to do the opposite.
